The boys aboard the Triton had a great time with great passengers yesterday for the rockfish opener. Lots of rockfish, whitefish, sculpin, big sheepshead and a lingcod came over the rail throughout the day.
We spent the last couple hours of the day looking in the shallows and saw good signs of yellowtail. We only we able to connect with a couple yellows, seals got one and we pulled the hook on the other. It’s only a matter of time and these fish will be on the chew.
The Triton is headed back out on a 5am – 5pm Limited Load Full Day trip to Catalina Island this coming Saturday March 7th. Trip is limited to only 25 Passengers at $100 per person, your bunk is included in price. Boat departs out of Pierpoint Landing in Long Beach.
