We have been fishing every day lately and Catalina is looking GREAT! Live squid is an issue right now, as it generally is this time of year for the “day boats”at the island. We are doing our best to keep it in the tanks and when it is there is a very good chance of getting a yellowtail or 2 or even more.
Even without the live stuff it’s still very good fishing at Catalina. There are still nice schools of 8-12lb yellowtail roaming the Island, Calico bass fishing is very good and the other usual kelp line critters are biting well too.
We have a few spots open for our Turners Outdoorsman limited load open party charter coming up on June 30. Trip is limited to 18 passengers.
Next is another Seeker Rods open party limited load trip departing July 21 at 5am.
